Suppose you got an infinite amount of money for buying a car, but you can buy just one, after that the money will simply disappear, except a small part for maintenance and fuel. Which car would you buy?
I would pay any amount Volvo asks for this

Do I get to keep any money for fuel?

2015 E63 AMG Wagon. It fits everything I need, except price, reasonableness, and fuel economy.

This. Fast as hell, seats 4 comfortably, and boot space.

250 GTO. Then immediately sell it ($52M). After which, I purchase the following with my now permanent non-dissapearing fortune.
P1
F70
918
F12
V10 M5
C7
C6 Z06
NSX
Gillig Bus
Whatever is left out of all that goes to a small house sitting outside a barn-turned-collector's garage to hold them all. My collection might grow depending on specific models striking my fancy.

I'd buy the most valuable car in existence, sell it, and live happy.

And we're done here. I'd probably change a few things because I can't leave shit alone.

Probably a '49 or '50 Packard Victoria Custom Eight ... something. There was a top of the top of the line trim with better suspension and some other options I can't remember right now. Has enough seats for most uses, has a lot of trunk space, is a convertible, is fairly fast, is not completely un-agile, sounds good, feels good, smells good, drives well.

Jaguar XJR9. Only problem is that I'd have to quit my job to stay home and stare at it all day.

I already own it, I would just take the fuel money. My 1996 F350 4x4 crew cab long bed with 460/7.5L.
Just fitted it with new headers, exhaust, and some new old stock gale banks bits. Still get 11mpg :P
![]() 10/17/2014 at 15:21 |

I guess that I'd have to take this one so that I can auction it for $35 mil.

Say what you want, but I would drive this, dogs n all, until the valves set themselves free through the bonnet and you had to remove my arse from the seat with a cheese wire

Buy a 1962 Ferrari GTO Berlinetta and then sell it at auction for approx 38 million then buy all the cars I ever wanted.

that truck is BAD ASS
do you have an exhaust video I can hear? What mufflers did you put on? Still have cats?
![]() 10/17/2014 at 15:29 |

I figured you'd want this:
![]() 10/17/2014 at 15:32 |

I keep all parts in-tact, so there are still cats on it (A few years old.) The exhaust is the gale banks power pack piece, it sounds very stock, which is fine with me. I have invested a lot of time and effort in just keeping that truck 'fresh' and kind of have a thing against too many significant mods that arent time tested and minimal.

Ahh, gotcha.
It's a really kick ass truck, I bet it's a blast. I'd love to have one of these as a winter vehicle.

If it's a car I have to live with, then a loaded Tesla Model S P85.
If it's a car I can buy and then immediately sell, I would go with a McLaren F1.

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have a tough time deciding between a few. I would probably go with the Audi Rosemeyer concept.
The Avus concept would also be pretty cool.
But then there is the Prodrive P2 that made JC puke.

Either this:
Or this:

Completely agree with your first suggestion!!!
The second is too mainstream, haha
![]() 10/17/2014 at 15:57 |

Yeah, but parts for the Zonda might actually be available.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 15:59 |

RS7.
In the most recent Car & Driver they bitched about its handling on the track during their Lightning Lap edition.
But then I read it lapped within TWO seconds of a Cayman S. And it seats five in luxury. What else would I require as a married guy with two kids?
![]() 10/17/2014 at 16:01 |
|
Probably a Dartz, or a big motorhome.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 16:09 |
|
But a sufficient amount of money (for fuel & parts) wouldn't disappear!
If necessary, the magic would spare a reasonable amount to produce the necessary parts
![]() 10/17/2014 at 16:13 |
|
I wasn't talking about the price, just about that it would be literally impossible to find parts. So yes, even with infinite money, it w0uld still be a while to build the parts from scratch every time it broke, which would likely be very frequent.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 16:18 |

Haha, since it's an Alfa, probably once or twice a week :)
![]() 10/17/2014 at 16:19 |

Is this a Maseratti? It looks damn good!
![]() 10/17/2014 at 16:21 |

Since it's a limited-production Alfa race car , probably once or twice a day.

Yessir, a Quattroporte built by coachworks company Touring Superleggera (same people who do the Alfa Disco Volante)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-91… This. Back in 2000 my dad built(and raced) this for the Porsche dealership he worked at, at the time. Before it was changed into the race car it was a '76 Turbo Carrera.
This is what it looked like in its final form before it was sold to the next owner who then had it painted orange. The car has since gone quite a few mods since it was sold for the first time. Originally it had a 3.4 liter in it with 50mm carbs andmade 365hp on a somewhat conservative tune. Pus had a magnesium( I think) 915 box with a custom gear set in it. It also had no power steering, no cool suit system, no air system for a helmet, no pit communications, and 16 inch three piece magnesium centered BBS wheels. It weighed just over 1900lbs WET, with him in it. My dad custom built the dash face, and the box with the switches on it behind the shifter. He raced it in the first rennsport reunion, even beating Chad McQueen. Yes, Steve McQueen's son. The best part is that he even has on board footage of it. IT SOUNDED SO GOOD.
It was sold by the dealership when I was just six years old. Even after just getting divorced and having very little money he still tried to buy it, to which the dealership said no to. It will always remain my favorite part of my childhood. One of these days when we get the film of the car converted to digital I will upload them to Youtube and definitely make a post about it.

Infinite budget? That calls for the most unobtainable car that world has to offer and that has to be Bugatti Royale Coupé Napoleon. It's owned by (French) National Automobile Museum Association and its likely never to be sold but infinite budget could probably solve this.
